What sizes of pre-roll tubes do you sell?

We offer two sizes: 98mm and 116mm.

Our 98mm tubes are designed for 0.5g to 0.8g pre-rolls. Our 116mm tubes are designed for 1g and king-sized pre-rolls.

We keep four regular colors in stock and ready to ship, in both sizes: opaque black, smoke (translucent grey), opaque white, and clear. Custom colors are also available — see below.

Yes. Custom colors require a Pantone color code from you to ensure an accurate match, and carry a 3-pallet minimum order (versus the 1-pallet minimum for our four regular in-stock colors).

All of our tubes are made from polypropylene (PP), the #5 recyclable plastic — so every tube we sell is 100% recyclable, regardless of color. Our black opaque tubes go a step further and are made from 100% recycled polypropylene (a mix of post-consumer and post-industrial material). Our smoke, white, and clear tubes are made from virgin polypropylene.

Our tubes are made through plastic injection molding. A hydraulic injection molding press melts the polypropylene and injects it into a proprietary steel mold that shapes the molten plastic into the tube. Tubes are then fully cooled in the mold before removal — the key step that ensures every tube comes out perfectly straight.

All of our tubes are made in America. Many competitors manufacture overseas, in China or Mexico.

All tubes — both sizes, all four regular colors — are priced at $0.045 per tube. Custom colors are the same price, subject to the 3-pallet minimum noted above.

All our tubes use a pop-top (squeeze-top) design, refined through several rounds of retooling to balance two things normally in tension: a seal tight enough to be fully air-tight — which is key to preserving product freshness and quality — while remaining easy for an adult to open with a simple squeeze near the top.

Yes. Both our 98mm and 116mm tubes are certified child-resistant under 16 CFR Part 1700.20 (the CPSC’s Poison Prevention Packaging standard), tested by CR Testing Labs and certified through Fulcrum Trading Company. The 98mm tube’s certification is effective as of February 16, 2023, and the 116mm tube’s certification is effective as of February 21, 2023. Our tubes are also food-grade certified. Certificates of Conformity are available for both sizes upon request.

Our current tube design was finalized at the end of 2022, the result of active development starting in 2018 and multiple rounds of retooling — including changes to wall thickness, hinge shape and thickness, and cap shape and tightness. The child-resistant certifications for both sizes (dated February 2023) reflect this current, finalized design, which has not changed since.

Our wall thickness is intentionally thicker than many competitors’ for durability — engineered to avoid cracking or breaking in transit and storage — while being optimized to keep box weight (and therefore shipping cost) down versus our earlier designs.

Yes — we guarantee 100% straight tubes in every box, no exceptions. The industry standard tolerance is up to 3% warped tubes, known in the industry as “bananas,” per shipment; we hold ourselves to zero. Warping happens when plastic tubes are removed from their molds before fully cooling — a shortcut some competitors take to speed up production. We always let every tube cool fully in the mold before removal, which is what makes 100% straight tubes possible.

Straight tubes are essential for clean labeling — warped tubes cause labels to bubble or show hairline gaps, hurting how a brand looks on shelf. Consistent, straight tubes are also critical for distributors and brands using automated labeling machines, which often jam or misapply labels on even slightly warped tubes. Our tubes are made to a consistent, precise standard specifically to avoid these issues.

Yes, quality is consistent across the full line regardless of material source.

WHOLESALE ORDERING & FREIGHT

Wholesale Ordering & Freight Questions

Get answers about pallet quantities, larger-volume orders, freight pricing, delivery requirements, and how wholesale shipments are handled.

How do you sell your tubes?

We sell exclusively by the pallet — we don’t offer small-quantity or individual sample-pack sales for purchase. Our tubes are wholesale-only, intended for distributors who resell in smaller quantities to cannabis companies.

One pallet for our four regular in-stock colors (opaque black, smoke, opaque white, clear). Custom colors require a 3-pallet minimum.

A pallet holds 45,000 98mm tubes (1,000 per box, 45 boxes per pallet) or 36,000 116mm tubes (1,000 per box, 36 boxes per pallet).

You can mix our regular in-stock colors (black, white, smoke, clear) together on the same pallet. However, all tubes on a given pallet must be the same size — 98mm and 116mm cannot be combined on one pallet.

The per-tube price stays flat at $0.045 regardless of quantity — the real savings come from shipping. Freight cost per tube drops substantially as pallet count increases, with the most significant savings kicking in at 5-6 pallets.

Ordering is done directly on our website. Live freight quotes are calculated automatically based on your order size and delivery zip code, so you can see both the tube cost and shipping cost broken out before you decide. Choose your products and shipping option, select a payment method, and complete checkout — you’ll get an order receipt on-screen immediately and a copy sent to your email.

For our four regular colors (black, white, smoke, clear), typical turnaround is within two days — often same-day if your order comes in early enough and freight pickup is available that day, since these colors are kept in stock on pallets, ready for transport. For custom colors, turnaround is typically three to four weeks. Most of that time goes toward sourcing the specific colorants needed to create your custom match — if we already have the relevant base colors on hand, that can cut roughly two weeks off the timeline. Once all colorants are on hand, actual manufacturing takes one to two weeks.

Yes, free samples are available — including a few of our 100% recycled black 116mm tubes, our most popular product. Request one through the sample request button on our website, and we’ll get it out to you personally.

On your first order, our checkout process will ask you to upload your reseller permit or tax exemption certificate. Our team reviews the document and, once confirmed, adds you to our approved reseller list. After that, future orders won’t require you to resubmit any tax documentation.

How is shipping priced?

We ship via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight, with live rates calculated automatically at checkout based on your order size and delivery zip code. You’ll see the exact shipping cost before completing your order — no estimates or surprise charges after the fact.

Freight pricing on LTL shipments naturally becomes more efficient per unit as pallet count increases. The most significant savings kick in at 5-6 pallets, which is why larger orders offer meaningfully lower shipping cost per tube even though our tube price itself stays flat at $0.045 regardless of quantity.

We work with a broad network of LTL carriers and select based primarily on price for your specific shipment. Over time, we’ve identified and moved away from a small number of carriers that weren’t reliable, so every carrier in our current network has a track record we trust.

Delivery time varies by destination, but rarely exceeds one week and never exceeds two weeks.

No, we don’t offer liftgate service. Delivery requires the receiving location to have adequate space and a forklift to unload the truck. Most distributors already have a forklift for their own operations; if not, renting one for the day is usually substantially cheaper than paying a carrier for liftgate service.

Yes, we’ll deliver to any address you specify, including residential — as long as the location has enough space and a forklift ready at the time of delivery.

We guarantee your tubes will not arrive damaged. In the rare event they do, take a photo of the damage and send it to us promptly, and we’ll make it right.

We 100% guarantee replacement for defective products. We’ll ask you to send timely photos of the defect, and in some cases may request a small sample of the affected tubes (5-10 total) mailed back to us — mainly so we can identify the root cause and prevent it from happening again.

We ship throughout the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada.

For orders up to 6 pallets, delivery goes through our carrier network as part of the standard checkout process. For orders larger than 6 pallets, you’re welcome to arrange your own shipping from our manufacturing warehouse to your destination — contact our support team to set this up.

PAYMENT

Wholesale Payment & Terms

Get answers about accepted payment methods, when you’re charged, resale certificates, and our refund policy.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards and bank transfer (ACH) at checkout. Card payments process instantly. ACH payments typically take one to three business days to clear, and are the lower-cost option for larger orders since they’re not subject to the same percentage-based processing fees as cards.

Payment is collected at checkout when you place your order — you’ll receive a receipt on-screen immediately and a copy sent to your email.

No, we don’t offer net terms or invoicing for any customers, including established distributors. Payment is required at checkout for all orders.

Yes. We require a reseller permit or tax exemption certificate from all customers, which allows us to sell to you without charging sales tax.

As a policy, we don’t offer refunds or order cancellations. That said, if you notice a mistake on your order and let us know right away, we’ll do our best to cancel it before it’s processed.

We only accept payment in USD, regardless of shipping destination.

ABOUT US

Who We Are & How We Operate

Get answers about our company history, sustainability practices, quality control process, and who we sell to.

How long has Pre-roll Tubes Co. been in business?

Pre-roll Tubes Co. was founded in July 2026, with formal registration as a WA State LLC underway (expected September 2026). While the company itself is new, its founders are not — the majority owner has worked in the joint tube manufacturing and wholesale industry since 2018 and has independently owned and operated a licensed retail marijuana business in Washington State since 2015. The minority partner has also been active in the industry since 2018. That combined, direct experience — including firsthand exposure to the packaging problems distributors and brands actually run into — shaped how these tubes were designed and how this company operates.

Our black opaque tubes are made from 100% recycled polypropylene (a mix of post-consumer and post-industrial material) — and because all our tubes, regardless of color, are made from polypropylene, every tube we sell is 100% recyclable at end of life.

Quality control happens at multiple points in the process. We let every tube fully cool in the mold before removal, which is what ensures every tube comes out perfectly straight — never warped. We also perform regular spot checks throughout manufacturing, and a team member visually inspects every single tube as it’s removed from the mold and boxed.

We focus primarily on distributors who resell in smaller quantities to cannabis companies, but we sell to anyone purchasing by the pallet. Our pricing also draws interest from brands — some larger operations, some smaller ones with warehouse space to spare — who buy directly by the pallet to capture the savings.

You can reach us directly at chris@prerolltubes.com.

Not yet — we’re a new company as of 2026, though our founders bring years of hands-on industry experience.
